(In-A-Coons-Eye)
Not a Maine Coon among them. These are the other animals who live here, and they run the place just as much as the pedigrees do.
Every kitten raised here grows up around all of them.
Pepe turned up on the property when two of our girls were in heat. We caught him in a live trap and had him neutered the next day. He was pampered back into good health and given the maiden house as a place of his own to be safe in.
Now he follows us around any day we are working outside, and he is secured in the maiden house every night. There is a delicate process with a cat who comes in feral. They need enough freedom that they do not hurt themselves trying to find it.
The rest of the household is being photographed and written up.

This page is here for a reason beyond being nice to look at.
A kitten raised around a dog is not afraid of dogs.
Our kittens meet other animals long before they meet a new home. It is a large part of why they settle in as quickly as they do.
They are not raised in isolation.
A cattery where the only animals are cats produces cats who have only ever met cats. Ours grow up in a household, with everything that comes with one.
The pedigreed side of the household has its own pages.
