How to Adopt a Kitten from Nacoonzi
-
Submit an Application
Complete the application form on our website to get started. We personally review each submission and follow up once you're pre-approved. -
Waitlist & Matching
Approved applicants are placed on a waitlist and notified when a suitable litter becomes available. -
Zoom Call
When kittens are 5 to 6 weeks old, we host a Zoom call so you can meet your kitten virtually and see the environment where they were raised. -
Select Your Kitten
After the call, you’ll choose your kitten and confirm by placing a deposit. -
Place a Deposit
A $300 non-refundable deposit secures your kitten. We accept PayPal (Friends & Family only), personal checks, or cashier’s checks. Final payment is due at pickup and must be made via cash or cashier’s check. -
Pickup at 12 Weeks
Kittens are ready to go home at around 12 weeks of age. This gives them time to socialize, nurse, and learn from mom and their siblings.

Health Guarantee & Testing
Health is our top priority. All breeding cats are tested for HCM, PKD, and FeLV, and we perform echocardiograms to screen for heart issues — a step many breeders skip.
We offer a 1-year guarantee against genetic conditions resulting in death from HCM, provided that a licensed necropsy confirms the cause. In that case, we will provide a replacement kitten.
To maintain the guarantee, we ask that you continue your kitten on NuVet supplements, which support long-term wellness.
Kitten Socialization & Care Schedule
We follow a structured care and socialization plan from birth:
-
1 week before delivery: queens are moved into a handmade birthing box in our bedroom
-
We observe every birth and assist if needed
-
Weeks 0–3: kittens stay in the bedroom with mom
-
Weeks 3–5: move to a dedicated nursery
-
Week 5: kittens explore upstairs during the day and return to the nursery at night
-
Week 7: expanded play area opens downstairs
-
Week 6: flea bath and deworming
-
Week 8: first vaccinations
-
Pictures are taken around week 5 and added to our website
-
Kittens remain with mom until naturally weaned
All kittens are raised underfoot, ensuring proper socialization. They are confident, affectionate, and ready to blend into family life.
